In the middle of the south coast is a one-mile (1.6-km) strip of road famous for its restaurants, bars, shops, hotels and nightlife. The St Lawrence Gap, or the Gap, as it’s better known is a focal point for both visitors and locals. With bars along the waterfront, street parties, karaoke and live bands, nightclubs and restaurants catering to all tastes, and the constant bustle of tourists shopping by day and partying by night, St Law-rence Gap is the party center of Barbados.
Entering from the Worthing entrance to the Gap, Bellini’s, on the right, offers some of the best Italian cuisine anywhere on the island. Farther down, also on the right, is Pisces, its spectacular setting and superb seafood making it a favorite destination for that special night out. Just past Pisces is Josef’s, its stunning cliff-side setting and tables set in manicured gardens making this a great place for a romantic dinner under the stars.
